Mr. Anish Rajgopal is Director of Chemtrols Solar, part of the Chemtrols group that has seven companies under its umbrella that undertake Manufacturing & System Integration in Process Instrumentation, Renewables (Solar & Bio-Mass) and also manufactures mechanical products which cater to a wide variety of industries ranging from oil & gas to cement to power to steel.
He is a founder member & director of the US Indian Importers Council (USIIC) and is member of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Ashish Agrawal heads the solar business at Hero Future Energies (HFE). He has been associated with the power sector for more than a decade. Ashish has been actively involved in developing the solar business at HFE. Prior to joining HFE, he handled a profile of equity deals, performance improvement assignments, regulatory, solar bidding and project finance at BHEL, Green Infra Ltd and PWC. In his current role he is accountable for the performance and growth of the solar business vertical at HFE. This has helped him to develop a deep understanding of the solar energy sector including project development and related technical, operational and regulatory issues. His networking skills and benign traits has contributed to a great extent in developing a strong business network for HFE in India as well as develop a rapport with the regulators and other government agencies. He has completed his MBA from IIM, Calcutta and his B.E. Mechanical from Maulana Azad NIT.
Ashish Khanna is the Executive Director & CEO of Tata Power Solar – the pioneering solar company in India, previously known as Tata BP Solar.
Ashish joined the Tata Group in 2007, holding a series of leadership positions in Tata Power most recently as Chief – Corporate Contract Organization.
He brings with him over 27 years of experience, having worked with multinational companies like EIL, Bechtel in leading functions before joining Tata Power. His accomplishments include leading, for Chorus Steel, one of the world’s biggest process gas fired power plant at Netherlands, and Head of Contracts and Procurement for Tata Power’s 4000 MW UMPP Mundra project.
Having been on the executive board of Tata Power Solar since 2013, he has significantly contributed to setting up and governing the organizations’ objectives and policies. He is also on the board of Tata Power group companies outside India (i.e. Netherlands and Indonesia) and few subsidiaries India.
Ashish is a mechanical engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, and holds a Masters Degree in Management & Systems from IIT Delhi.
Bhupesh Trivedi is Divisional Director at Rolta Power Pvt Ltd. He is an experienced professional with over 28 years of collective experiences in the fields of solar energy, media, information technology and research.
He has extensive experience in solar power sector, having enabled over 120 MWs of projects across India, particularly in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana. He brings in years of business experience in module manufacturing, EPC contracting, liaison and project development. Prior joining Rolta Power, Bhupesh took up consulting assignments for various solar companies.
Bhupesh has been a regular speaker at various national and international events, talking about market opportunities and solutions to various problems that afflict businesses. He has been a contributor to various media too.
Craig O’Connor is the Director of Business Development – Renewable Energy where he works closely with renewable energy exporters, and international customers, to support financing for projects.
In 2009, he created the Bank’s Renewable Energy Business Development Initiative that resulted in growing the Bank’s portfolio of renewable energy projects by over $2 billion.
Craig began his career at the Bank in January 1993, as Loan Officer for the Middle East and North Africa.
In addition to his position at the Bank, Craig has served as an Adjunct Professor of International Business, and International Project Finance at Georgetown University since 1997.
Arul oversees the engineering, R&D and product development functions, driving Project sales and delivery functions at Tata Power Solar.
With the Tata Group since August 2010, Arul headed the solar business at Tata International, where he launched a profitable Module Mounting System business and commercialised innovative foundation and structure designs. Under his leadership, Tata International Solar business has executed over 100 MW installations in 2012-13 after which he moved to Tata Power Solar in 2013.
Arul brings with him valuable experience in product development, sales, marketing and product support with companies like Applied Materials. He was a part of the team that commissioned the first 5.7 m2 large substrate 40MW thin film plant.
Dr. Chakradhar Byreddy is currently the Regional Manager- Asia Pacific for DNV GL Renewables Certification. At present Dr. Byreddy is engaged with strategic customers like OEM’s, developers and PE investors in Asia Pacific. Previously, Dr. Byreddy was Deputy Head of International Department at Germanischer Lloyd Industrial Services, RC.
Prior to DNV GL, Dr. Byreddy had worked for several years out of Houston, Texas for Oil & Gas as well as Renewables sector in different technical capacities (several patents and publications on his name). Furthermore, Dr. Byreddy worked with U.S Air Force and DARPA (Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency) on research projects during his tenure with his Master's & PhD programs. He holds PhD in Control systems from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA.
In addition to this he is also an Associate Editor and reviewer for several technical journals. Dr. Byreddy is currently a Senior member of AIAA and ASME.
Dr. Chandan Chowdhury is the Managing Director at Dassault Systemes India Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Dassault Systemes (a 2.8 billion dollar company offering 12 industry solutions in 140 countries). In his earlier roles, Dr. Chowdhury has held a number of senior management positions in leading companies. Prior to joining Dassault Systemes, Dr. Chowdhury was Country Manager, Software Group, Strategic Accounts in IBM. He had also headed a Swedish multinational.
Dr. Chandan did his MS in Mechanical Engineering and has a double Doctorate, and comes from a unique background that is an excellent blend of corporate and academia. He was formerly the Dean (Academics), Chairman (Board of Research) and Member (Board of Governor) at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) (a joint initiative of United Nations and Government of India).
Dr. Chowdhury has been the recipient of numerous awards, and his special areas of interest are innovation, 3D, eGovernance, democratization of innovation, virtual product development and virtual manufacturing, PLM (Product Life Cycle Management), the 3D experience universe, and ‘Technology Enabled Business Process Improvement”, criminal intelligence system, cyber-crime, leveraging offset, innovation in operations management, smart grid and smart city. He is also considered as the pioneer in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and BPR (Business Process Reengineering) movement in India.
Dwipen graduated in 1990 as a Mechanical Engineer and completed his Post Graduate Programme on Renewable Energy (PPRE) from Oldenburg University, Germany. He has earned more than 23 years of experience in Renewable Energy sector. Dwipen has been working on the engineering design, development, implementation, Feasibility and Techno Economic due diligence of large grid connected PV power projects, off grid PV and Hybrid system design and optimization, Rural Electrification, Energy Policy and Regulatory Framework, Planning for developing solar cities and solar campus.
Dwipen is a Master Trainer for GSES training programs conducted in India and abroad. He has authored and co-authored books and training manuals on solar PV system design Installation, maintenance and inspection; more then 60 technical and professional reports; several publications and papers in the technical magazines and journals.
Eng. Mauro Moroni obtained a PhD in Energetics and he is founder and CEO of Moroni & Partners, a company specialized in integrated energy consultancy operating at national and international level. M&P offers Engineering, Technical Advisory and Asset Management services and in 10 years of activity it acquired more than 1.7 GW of experience.

Before working at Telmap, Eran was the CFO of X-Tip, a dental anesthetic device company that was sold to DentSply International (NASDAQ: XRAY), the CFO & COO of MTI Precision Products, a technology dental product development leader that was sold in a leveraged buyout and the Cofounder, COO and CFO of ResQline, a developer of emergency escape systems. Eran was also the CFO of Info-X, an Internet and compliance of medical necessity solutions company that was acquired by 3M (NYSE: MMM).
Previously, Eran worked with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private arm of the World Bank Group. In this role, Eran was in charge of IFC’s financial projects in Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi and Zambia – a portfolio of over $100 million. In the most challenging countries and sectors, Eran managed over a dozen projects that not only were profitable but also had a significant social impact.
Eran holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Master in Economic Policy Management from Columbia School of International Affairs, and a B.A in Economics and Management from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Eran completed all three degrees with distinction and was among the top 5% of his class. Eran serves as a mentor at the Technion’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
He is at present promoting the biogas generation, enrichment and utilisation in India. The main motto is to bring all the stakeholders together to grow the biogas segment in a sustainable way. Bio-fertilizer promotion is an intrinsic part of the whole scenario. With his vast research expertise, he has already engineered and developed several renewable energy models.
He holds a B. Tech degree from IIT and MS in environmental engineering from University of Stuttgart, Germany. Earlier he has worked as scientific co-worker in Germany along with several years of field experience with Shell Deutschland GmbH.
Geoff graduated from UNSW in 1981 as an electrical engineer and has since been involved in the renewable energy industry in Australia as a leading expert in this field. He operated his own design and installation company for several years. In 1993 he developed training for technicians with the Australian Solar Energy Industry, and has been involved in training and capacity building both in Australia and overseas ever since.
Geoff founded GSES in 1998 in partnership with Susan Neill, Stephen Garrett and Kim Atkinson. Geoff actively works in the business and is also a part-time lecturer at UNSW. Ongoing consulting projects of note include the establishment of Institute of Sustainable Power to develop competency standards for international renewable energy training programs and training and development in Ghana, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and other developing nations.

Ajit Pandit, one of the Founding Director of Idam Infrastructure Advisory Private Limited. He has more than 19 years of experience in dealing with varied aspects of energy and utilities sector in India. He brings with him the regulatory perspective and is well versed with risks and commercial arrangements associated with development, construction and implementation of various renewable energy generation schemes, transmission, evacuation, grid connectivity aspects and distribution schemes.

Ketan Chheda is the Business Development Manager at DNV GL’s renewables advisory division. He has more than 9 years of sales & business development experience, the last 4.5 years of which have been in the Indian renewable industry. His work involves working with banks as well as project developers, for solar and also for wind projects.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Solar Energy from Dalarna University, Sweden. He is also a Management Graduate from Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management and holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Mumbai University.
Mr. Markus Wypior holds a degree in economics from the University of Bonn, Germany. He has been working in various infrastructure and development co-operation projects in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Asia and South East Asia. Mr. Wypior joined GIZ in 2003 as a regional manager in the Asia-Pacific department responsible for bilateral and multilateral co-operation in the fields of energy and environmental protection. From 2005 - 2010 he was seconded to India for the implementation of the National CFC Consumption Phase-out Plan and the National CTC Phase-out Plan under the Montreal Protocol on Substances that deplete the Ozone Layer. From September 2012 – July 2015 he was the Director of the Indo-German Energy Forum Support Office in New Delhi. At present he heads the Green Energy Corridor component of the Indo-German Energy Programme.

Prior to SunEdison, Pashu worked with Cypress Semiconductors as Global Vice President- Strategic Marketing and Business Development. International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. IFC's venture
capital investments in India include Azure Power, Applied Solar Technologies, EyeQ,
MyUniverse and NephroPlus. Prior to joining IFC, Pravan was a Principal with ORIX
Venture Finance in New York and was responsible for structured investments in venturebacked
companies. Pravan has also worked with Metropolitan Venture Partners, a
transatlantic venture capital fund in New York, and Global Bridge Ventures, an emerging
markets focused venture capital fund in San Francisco. Earlier in his career, Pravan was
an investment banker at BMO Nesbitt Burns and a credit analyst at the Tokai Bank in
Chicago. Pravan holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Tata Power Solar, Rahul worked with Tata Industries, where he was responsible for assessing new business opportunities in the Cleantech industry. He was the Chief Operating Officer of AP circle at Tata Teleservices Limited between 2007 and 2014 which has a revenue of about 1300 crores per anum. He then forayed into solar domain with Reliance Power Ltd managing 40 MW Solar PV Plant (Thin Film Technology) that has an operating PLF of 20.6% (DC Capacity) for FY 2014, which was undoubtedly one of the best performing solar plant in India.
This plant has the first direct loan sanction by ADB to a private sector solar project in India.

Sebastian Petretschek holds a degree in Technology Management from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He has been active in solar photovoltaic business since 2009 and is a specialist for PV power plants and PV module quality.
For utility-scale PV projects in Bulgaria, Middle East, UK, India, South Africa and China, he has mainly acted as lender’s technical advisor. Among other tasks, he has conducted numerous technical due diligence reviews - including yield as well as EPC and O&M contract assessments - and has performed construction and operation monitoring services."
Mr. Stefan Müller is the Co-founder, shareholder of Enerparc AG and since end of 2008 as a board member responsible for the operational business.
After his diploma theses in 1992 in Solar Energy he gained international experiences in difference roles and various countries. He worked nearly 10 years for BP Solar in Europe and Asia and was 5 years in the role of the MD of Conergy Asia Pacific based in Singapore. Susan has worked in the renewable energy industry for over 25 years. She completed Post Graduate studies in Applied Photovoltaics at UNSW in 1998. Susan ran a successful renewable energy business, Quirks Victory Light Co. Pty. Ltd. from 1986 until 2005, when the business was bought by Conergy Pty. Ltd. (subsidiary of Conergy AG) and Susan was employed as Conergy’s Technical Services Manager (power) for Australia from 2005 to 2008.
Susan joined GSES fulltime in March 2008 as the Director of Training and Engineering overseeing the quality, standards and operations of the business divisions of GSES.
Susan is guest lecturer at UNSW and a member of the Advisory Board for the Centre of Excellence for Solar Energy Systems at the Australian National University, Canberra ACT.
Tobias Engelmeier founded BRIDGE TO INDIA (www.bridgetoindia.com) in 2007, as a strategic environmental consulting company, based in New Delhi.
